About Document Approvals

You can use the document approval system in the program to manage your document workflow in your organization. You can set up a system of approvers to ensure that specific documents (a quote, an order, a blanket order, an invoice, a return order, or a credit memo) get approved (or rejected) before they are sent to, for example, the customer or vendor.

You set up the approval system to reflect the document workflow in your company, for example, who the document is sent to first, then the next person in the hierarchy, and so on. You can set up limits defining what a user can approve, for example, some users may be allowed to approve any document, whereas others may have a maximum amount in LCY that they have approval authority for. If a salesperson or purchaser needs to approve documents before they are sent to their customers or vendors, this can be specified as well.
