Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 includes components that extend the application with mobile capabilities. These enable users to interact with the server from a mobile device, such as creating or modifying sales orders while out of the office. To be able to do this, you need to configure Application Server for Microsoft Dynamics NAV, which manages the interaction between mobile devices and Microsoft Dynamics NAV, and you need to assign security roles to users to access mobile functionality. Furthermore, you need to define and set up document handlers and document types that handle the request documents that contain data and requests that are sent from mobile devices to the server. The following table gives a brief description of these scenarios.
