When mobile users use mobile applications that integrate with Microsoft Dynamics NAV, error messages and values for option fields can be shown in the languages that the Microsoft Dynamics NAV application supports.

To set up languages for mobile users, you must first define which languages are available and then you must specify which language each mobile user uses. You must also specify which tables with options fields are used in the mobile applications to get the correct translation for the option field text. For more information, see How to: Set Up Option Field Usage for Mobile Users in Microsoft Dynamics NAV Classic.

To set up languages for mobile users

  1. In the navigation pane, click Administration, click Application Setup, click Mobile, and then click Languages.

  2. In the Mobile Languages window, in the Code field, click the AssistButton. The Languages window appears.

    NoteNote

The Languages window lists all languages that supports. However, you should only set up those languages that your application has translations for.

  3. Select the primary language for your application, such as ENU for English (United States), and then click OK.

  4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for any additional languages that you want to define.

The languages that you set up in the Mobile Languages window are available in the Language Code field in the Mobile Users window. For more information, see How to: Set Up Mobile Users in Microsoft Dynamics NAV Classic. To display option field values in the appropriate languages, you must set up option field usage. For more information, see How to: Set Up Option Field Usage for Mobile Users in Microsoft Dynamics NAV Classic.
