Using Item Translations

After you have set up language codes, assigned them to customers, and set up item translations, the program uses the correct translation when you invoice a customer with a language code.

To Use Item Translations:

  1. Open the Sales Invoice window.

  2. Press F3, and then press Enter to set up a new invoice and give it a number.

  3. In the Sell-to Customer No. field, click the AssistButton to see the Customer List.

  4. Select a customer with a language code, and then click OK.

  5. On the first invoice line, in the Type field, click the AssistButton and select Item.

  6. In the No. field, click the AssistButton to see the Item List. Select an item number, and then click OK.

  7. The correct translation will be inserted in the Description field. The text is copied from the Item Translations window.

Note

You can also assign language codes to vendors and the program will then use the correct translation when you pay a vendor with a language code.
