The buttons on the toolbar are also available as items on the menus of the menu bar, but you can access the functions more easily from the toolbar.
Ordinary buttons are found in almost all of the windows and dialog boxes in the program. These are buttons such as OK, Yes and No.
Function buttons are found on several windows in the program. When clicked, they initiate a function, batch job or report.
Menu buttons have a downward-pointing triangle on them and they are found on the majority of windows. When clicked, they display a menu from which you can, for example, select a function, open a different window or open a submenu.
