Use the Microsoft Office Outlook Integration component to synchronize data, such as to-dos, contacts, and tasks, between Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 and Outlook. You can use Outlook integration with either the Classic architecture (through Application Server) or with the RoleTailored architecture (through Web services).
Installing Microsoft Office Outlook Integration
You must install the Microsoft Office Outlook Add-In and other components before you set up Outlook integration. The following lists show which components and subcomponents that you must select in Microsoft Dynamics NAV Setup.
These sets of components do not correspond to any preconfigured installation options, so you must customize the list of components as you run Microsoft Dynamics NAV Setup. See How to: Choose Components to Install.
It is not necessary to install all listed components on a single computer. If you install different Microsoft Dynamics NAV components on different computers, then you must configure the components so that they can communicate. For more information, see Installation Walkthroughs.
If you want to configure Outlook integration to use Web services, then you must install the following components with Microsoft Dynamics NAV Setup.
