Changing or Deleting the Contents of Fields

You can only change or delete the contents of editable fields.

To Change or Delete Ordinary Fields

There are two ways to change or delete the contents of an ordinary field depending on the field. In most fields you can proceed as follows:

  1. Highlight the field contents, and then type the new contents over the old.

  2. Highlight the field contents, and then click Edit, Clear or press Delete.

  3. Press Enter to save the change or deletion.

A few fields contain more sensitive information than others, so the program makes it harder for you to change their contents. To change or delete the contents of these fields, you must use the inline editing function. Click twice (not a double click) or press F2 when the cursor is in the field.

To Change the Contents of Check Box Fields

To change the contents of check boxes, click the field. A check mark means that you answer Yes to the question in the field (you turn the function on). To change a Yes to a No (or turn the function off), click the check box.

To Change the Contents of Fields with an AssistButton

Fields with an AssistButton to the right can only be filled in with one of the options that appear when you click the button.

To change the contents of either type of field, click the button to the right and select one of the options from the list that appears.
