You use fault reason codes to identify possible reasons for service item faults and if necessary to exclude warranty and contract discounts from the service of service items.
Open the Service Order window.
Browse to the service order in which you want to register a fault reason code.
Click the line with the service item you want to register a fault reason code for.
In the Fault Reason Code field, click the AssistButton to see the Fault Reason Codes window. Select the relevant fault reason code, and then click OK to copy it to the field.
