The Contract Gain/Loss (Service Contracts) window shows a scrollable summary of contract gain/loss entries, based on service contracts.
The window is split into two panes: The left pane contains the time intervals and the total gain/loss amount for each interval, and the right pane contains the total gain/loss amount for each service contract for the same time intervals.
You can select different time intervals by clicking the buttons in the lower left-hand corner of the window: 1 (Day), 7 (Week), 31 (Month), 3 (Quarter), 12 (Year).
To the right of the time interval buttons are two buttons that determine what type of amount will be shown in the period columns: the Net Change feature (displays the net change for each period) or the Balance at Date feature (displays the value as of the last day in each period).
When you scroll up and down, the program calculates the amounts (in LCY) according to the time interval you have selected.
You can specify which service contracts are included in the window by setting filters in the Contract No. Filter field at the top of the window. If you do not set any filters, the window will include information about all service contracts.
In the Period Start field at the top of the window, you can specify the starting date of the period you want to view.
If you have set the time interval to Day and you need to scroll over a long period, you can do it faster by shifting to a larger interval such as Quarter. When you have found the desired period, you can shift back to the original interval to see the data in greater detail.
