List of Fields in the Table
The Service Item table contains items that have been sold to customers and have been registered for service. A service item has a unique identification number and can be linked to an item. It can have a serial number that is unique among all the service items. The owner of the service item is the customer at the specified ship-to address.
You can assign warranty to service items and specify the response time for their service. Service items can consist of components.
You can set up service items manually in the Service Item Card window and you can also let the program create service items automatically when you ship sold items.
When you have set up service items, you can register them in service orders and service contracts.
It is possible to create multiple contracts per service item, so that it is included in different service contracts at the same time.
