Create Contract Service Orders Batch Job

You use the Create Contract Service Orders batch job to create service orders for service contracts that include service items that are due for service. You can also use the batch job to print a test report.

When you run the batch job to create contract service orders, the program creates service orders that include service items with the next planned service dates within the specified period. The test report contains information on the contracts, the service items and the service orders that the program will create for the date you have specified.

You can define what is included in the batch job by setting filters. You can set additional fields on the tab by clicking the Field field and then clicking the AssistButton that appears to the right. You can also determine what is shown in the batch job by filling in the fields on the Options tab. Fill in the fields as follows:

Contract No.: Here you can enter the contract numbers you want to include in the batch job.

Click the up-arrow in the lower left-hand corner of the window to see the result of the filters that you have defined for the table.

Options tab

Starting Date: Enter the starting date for the period that you want to create contract service orders for. The batch job will include contracts with service items that have next planned service dates on or later than this date.

Ending Date: Enter the ending date for the period that you want to create contract service orders for. The batch job will include contracts with service items with Next Planned Service Date on or earlier than this date.

Action: Click Create Service Orders if you want the batch job to create the service orders. Click Print Only if you only want to print a test report based on the selected criteria.

Click OK to start the batch job. If you do not want to run the batch job now, click Cancel to close the window.
