Vendor Purchases

The Vendor Purchases window appears when, from the vendor card, you click Vendor and then Purchases. The window shows a scrollable summary of vendor ledger entries.

The Period column on the left contains a series of dates that are determined by the time interval you have selected. You change the time interval by clicking on the buttons in the lower left-hand corner of the window: 1 (day), 7 (week), 31 (month), 3 (quarter), 12 (year) and 3 horizontal lines (accounting period). Accounting periods are set up in the Accounting Period table.

When you scroll up and down, the program calculates the amounts (in LCY) according to the selected time interval.

The columns in the window display the following:

Balance Due (LCY)

The amount (in LCY) that is due for payment in the period shown in the left column.

Purchases (LCY)

The purchase amount (in LCY) in the period shown in the left column.

Closing dates are not included in the periods that are shown in the left column.

The program has calculated all amounts from posted vendor ledger entries (that is, entries that have been posted from the general journal or purchase invoices).

Attention

If you have set the time interval to Day and you need to scroll far ahead or backwards, you can do it faster by shifting to a larger interval such as Quarter. When you have found the desired period, you can shift back to smaller intervals to see the data in greater detail.
