The Order Promising Line Table
This field contains the date that the program calculates to be the earliest possible shipment date for the item.
The program calculates the possible shipment date for an item when you activate the order promising function. There are two options for the calculation of this date. The program calculates the date that the item is available-to-promise, or it calculates the date that the item is capable-to-promise. Available-to-promise is the earliest date that the item will be available with respect to inventory, scheduled receipts and gross requirements for that item. Capable-to-promise is the earliest date that the item can be available, knowing that the out-of-stock item will be available again.
