Planning Routing Line Table

List of Fields in the Table

You use routings to specify the sequence of operations performed to manufacture a product. The operations can be performed at a work center or machine center. The routing is also the basis for process scheduling, capacity scheduling and manufacturing documents.

In order to be able to work with routings, you must set up the capacity planning standard data first. The routings are then assigned to the articles in the item's standard data.

When you run the Calculate Plan or the Refresh Planning Demand batch jobs, the program fills in the Planning Routing Line field from the Routing No. field on the item card.

The planning routing lines let you list the required operations, which are user defined. You can specify throughput time definitions as productive time and nonproductive time.

Note that the throughput time can be expressed in various units of measure. However, if you do so it will affect cost calculations.
