The overhead rate is an absolute amount. You can set up an overhead rate to cover other expenses than material or capacity costs, for example, the maintenance expenses for the work center.
The overhead rate is included in the unit cost of the work center. The unit of measure for the overhead rate is set in the Unit of Measure Code field or per unit depending on the entry in the Unit Cost Calculation field.
