Setting Up Production Orders

When you set up a new production order, there are fields that must always be filled in, fields that can be filled in as needed and fields in which you cannot enter anything.

In the following, a firm planned production order is used.

To Set Up Production Orders:

  1. Open the Firm Planned Prod. Order window.

  2. Fill in the fields on the card. The following fields are mandatory:


    Source Type

    Source No.


    Due Date

    Starting Time

    Starting Date

    Ending Time

    Ending Date

    Inventory Posting Group

    Gen. Prod. Posting Group


On the production order line, the following fields are mandatory:

Item No.

Due Date

Starting Date

Ending Date


Unit of Measure Code

Unit Cost

Cost Amount
