Issuing Credit Memos for Jobs

Sometimes, you may want to issue a credit memo for a job.

To Issue Credit Memos for Jobs:

  1. Open the Sales Credit Memo window to create a new credit memo.

  2. On the Application tab, click the AssistButton in the Applies-to Doc No. field. The Apply Customer Entries window for the relevant customer appears.

  3. To fill in the Applies-to Doc. Type field with the correct document number, select the relevant invoice and click OK.

  4. Click Functions, Copy Lines.

  5. Select Posted Invoice, and then click OK.

  6. Select the invoice with the same number as the invoice in the Applies-to Doc No. field and click OK.

  7. To delete all the lines you do not want to credit, select a group of lines, and then click Edit, Delete on the menu bar.

  8. Correct the quantity in all of the lines.

  9. Click Posting, Post to post the credit memo.
