You can select one of two options for the Recognition Method field on the job card: Percentage of Completion or Completed Contract.
Percentage of Completion lets you use the Calculate Job Recognition and Post Job Recognition to G/L batch jobs to post job recognition at any time during the course of the job. Normally the recognition of jobs and the corresponding posting of the job ledger entries to the G/L is done in the accounting period after the calculating and posting of job work in progress.
The recognition method Completed Contract will only cause recognition to be posted for jobs with the status Completed.
