In the Rounding Method table, you can set up the rounding rules to be used if you use the program to:
adjust or suggest item prices.
adjust or suggest standard cost changes.
If you're adjusting item prices, then when you run the Suggest Item Price on Wksh. and Suggest Sales Price on Wksh. batch jobs, the program will round the item prices.
If you're adjusting standard costs, then when you run the Suggest Item Standard Cost and the Suggest Work/Mach Ctr Std Cost batch jobs, the program will round the costs.
Set up a code representing information for each rounding method for item prices/standard costs. Then you can enter the code in the Rounding Method field in the request window for the sales prices or standard cost batch jobs. After this, when you run the batch job, the program will use the information represented by the code when it rounds the item prices.
For sales prices only:
Note that when you run one of the Suggest Item/Sales Price on Wksh. batch jobs, the currency specific rounding rules you set up in the Currency table also apply to the suggested prices if these prices are in a foreign currency. The currency specific rounding will be applied according to the rounding method described above.
