This field displays the total amount for actual amounts or budgeted amounts, dependent on what you have chosen in the Show field.
When you select a dimension to be shown as columns, the Total Amount field will display an amount comprising all entries with dimension values attached for the selected dimension. This also includes entries with blank dimension values for the selected dimension.
This means that if you set filters in the matrix window to show amounts for a specific dimension value or dimension value range, you can compare the amounts shown in the matrix window with the total a mount for the entire dimension.
To see which entries make up the amount shown in the Total Amount field, click the AssistButton in the field.
