You use the G/L Account Card window to enter information about G/L accounts, such as the account number, account name, and whether the account is part of the income statement or balance sheet. There is one card for each G/L account. Each card contains several tabs with different types of information about the account.
Many of the fields on the G/L account card are also in the Chart of Accounts window. You can set up accounts in either window. If you set up an account in the Chart of Accounts window, a G/L account card will automatically be set up for that account. The G/L account card contains more fields than the Chart of Accounts window.
