Fiscal Year Balance Report

This report shows balance sheet movements for selected periods. It shows the closing balance by the end of the previous fiscal year for the selected ledger accounts, the fiscal year until this date, this fiscal year by the end of the selected period, and the balance by the end of the selected period, excluding the closing entries. The report can be used at the close of an accounting period or fiscal year.

You can define what is included in the report by setting filters. You can set additional fields on the tab by clicking the Field field, then clicking the AssistButton that appears to the right. You can also determine what is shown in the report by filling in the fields on the Options tab. Fill in the fields as follows:

G/L Account

No.: Here you can enter the number of the G/L Account you are analyzing. You can enter a maximum of 20 numbers, both numbers and letters.

Account Type: Click the AssistButton in the field to select one of the five options that identify the purpose of the account. Newly created accounts are automatically assigned the Posting account type, but you can change this.

Department Filter: Click the AssistButton in this field to set a filter for a dimension, so that the values in the columns are based only on the dimension values included in the filter.

Project Filter: Click the AssistButton in this field to set a filter for a dimension, so that the values in the columns are based only on the dimension values included in the filter.

Click the up-arrow at the lower left-hand corner of the window to see the result of the filters you have defined for the table.

Options

Starting Date: Enter the first date of the accounting period you want to analyze.

Ending Date: Enter the last date of the accounting period. By default, the last date of the accounting period is based on the starting date you entered. This means that if, for example, your starting date is 01-01-07 and the accounting period is 3 months, the default ending date will be 01-04-07.

Rounding Factor: Here you can select a rounding factor that will be used in the balance. The options are: No rounding factor, 1, 1000 or 1000000.

Click the Print button to print out the report. If you want to see the report on the screen before printing, click the Preview button. If you do not want to print the report now, click Cancel to close the window.
