Budget window and then
click Functions, Import Budget from Excel.This batch job is used to import a budget from Excel to Navision. This allows you both to import budgets originally exported from Navision and import budgets that have been created in Excel.
Before importing the budget, you must close Excel.
You can import a budget into Navision from Excel in one of two ways:
You can create a new budget or you can add the budget entries in Excel to the budget entries with the same name already present in Navision. This can be used if you wish to create a single consolidated budget in Navision made up of a number of individual budgets imported from Excel.
The Import Budget from Excel function appears when you open the
Budget window and then
click Functions, Import Budget from Excel.
You define how the batch job will be carried out. Fill in the fields as follows:
Import from...
Workbook File Name: Enter the name of the Excel workbook file that the budget data will be imported from.
Worksheet Name: Here you can enter the name or number of a worksheet from the workbook selected in the Workbook File Name field.
Import to...
Budget Name: Here you can select the budget that entries will be imported to.
Option: Here you can select whether the program will add the budget entries from excel to budget entries currently in the system, or whether the program will replace entries in Navision with the budget entries from Excel.
Description: In this field, you can enter a description of the imported budget entries, so that the entries can be easily identified among other budget entries.
Click OK to start the batch job. If you do not want to run the batch job now, click Cancel to close the window.
