Setting Up Reason Codes

Reason codes are used to indicate why an entry was created. When you set up reason codes, you can place them on entries and assign permanent codes to specific journal templates and journal batches.

To Set Up Reason Codes:

  1. Open the Reason Codes window.

  2. In the Code field, enter the first code. In the Description field, enter an explanatory text.

  3. Repeat the procedure for each code you want to use. You can set up any number of codes.
