Open the 
General Journal
Templates window.
Click Template, Batches.
On the menu bar, click Tools, Zoom to see all the fields in the General Journal Batches window.
For Help about a specific field, click the field and press F1.
After you have set up a journal template, you can create one or more journal batches. A journal batch is an individual journal created under a journal template. The information on the journal template applies to all the journal batches created under it, and all the journal batches under a template have the same window layout.
The General Journal Batches window contains information about the individual general journal batches. The information about a journal batch applies to all the journal lines created under the journal batch (but not those created under other journal batches).
