Once you have set up your bank accounts, you may need to transfer an amount between two bank accounts that have different currency codes.
Open the General Journal window.
On a journal line, enter the first account in the Account No. field.
Enter the amount (in the currency of the account) in the Amount field with or without a sign; an amount without a sign is a debit, and an amount with a minus sign is a credit.
On the next journal line, enter the second account in the Account No. field.
Enter the amount (in the currency of the account) in the Amount field with or without a sign; an amount without a sign is a debit, and an amount with a minus sign is a credit.
If the exchange rates used in the transaction are different than the exchange rates in the Currency Exchange Rates window in the program, then enter a third line for the exchange rate gain or loss. In the Account No. field, enter the account number for exchange rate gains and losses.
