Setting Up Default VAT Product Posting Groups

You set up default VAT product posting groups by linking them to general product posting groups. Then the program automatically inserts the relevant code as the VAT product posting group, when you enter the relevant product posting group code. Before you can do this, you must set up VAT product posting groups.

To Set Up Default VAT Product Posting Groups:

1. Open the Gen. Product Posting Groups window.

2. Click the AssistButton in the Def. VAT Prod. Posting Group field to see the list of available groups. Select the relevant code, and then click OK to copy it to the field.

3. Click the Auto Insert Default field to enter a check mark.

If it is not relevant or you do not want to use this feature for either individual or all general product posting group codes, leave the two fields blank. Then you must assign VAT product posting groups manually to items.
