Indexing Insurance

You can use the Index Insurance batch job to update the value of the fixed assets that are covered.

To Index Insurance:

  1. Open the Index Insurance batch job request form.

  2. On the Fixed Asset tab, set a filter to select which fixed assets to index.

  3. Fill in the fields on the Options tab. A decrease of 5% is entered as 95 in the Index Figure field, whereas an increase of 2% is entered as 102.

    For Help about a specific field, click the field and press F1.

  4. Click OK.

    The batch job calculates the amount as a percentage of the total value insured from the Insurance Statistics window, and creates a line in the insurance journal.

  5. Open the Insurance Journal window. View the created entries and post them to the insurance coverage ledger.
