You can use the Index Insurance batch job to update the value of the fixed assets that are covered.
Open the Index Insurance batch job request form.
On the Fixed Asset tab, set a filter to select which fixed assets to index.
Fill in the fields on the Options tab. A decrease of 5% is entered as 95 in the Index Figure field, whereas an increase of 2% is entered as 102.
For Help about a specific field, click the field and press F1.
Click OK.
The batch job calculates the amount as a percentage of the total value insured from the Insurance Statistics window, and creates a line in the insurance journal.
Open the Insurance Journal window. View the created entries and post them to the insurance coverage ledger.
