Posting Maintenance Costs from FA Journals

If G/L integration has not been activated for the depreciation book which you want to post to, you must use an FA journal.

To Post Maintenance Costs from FA Journals:

  1. Open the Fixed Asset Journal window.

  2. Fill in the fields. For Help about a specific field, click the field and press F1. The Maintenance Code field is not included in the standard layout, but you can insert it with the Show Column function.

  3. Click Fixed Assets, Setup, Depreciation Books.

  4. To ensure that the program does not post maintenance costs to the general ledger, select a depreciation book. Click the Integration tab, and then make sure that there is no check mark in the Maintenance field.

  5. Return to the Fixed Asset Journal window. Click Posting, Post to post the journal.
