Setting Up the To-dos Synchronization Period

You can run the Synchronize with Outlook batch job either for all your to-dos or for the to-dos that match a certain period. By setting up the synchronization period, you enable the program to restrict the number of to-dos to be synchronized, and thus speed up the synchronization process.

To Set Up Synchronization Period for To-dos:

  1. Open the Salesperson/Purchaser Card window.

  2. On the Synchronization tab, in the Synchronize To-dos field, select Time Period.

  3. In the Synchronize From field, enter the date formula for the program to calculate the starting date of the period within which you want to synchronize your to-dos with Outlook tasks and calendar items.

  4. In the Synchronize To field, enter the date formula for the program to calculate the ending date of the period within which you want to synchronize your to-dos with Outlook tasks and calendar items.

Only the to-dos with either starting date or ending date or both matching the specified period will be synchronized with Outlook tasks and calendar items when you run the Synchronize with Outlook batch job.

You can also set up the synchronization period for to-dos directly in the Synchronize with Outlook batch job request window, on the Options tab. You can do so by entering starting and ending dates of the synchronization period in the Period Start and Period End fields. Note that this setting will be valid for one synchronization batch job only.
