Sending Meeting Invitations

You can send invitations to meeting attendees after you have created the to-do using the Create To-do wizard.

This can be done from the Attendee Scheduling card.

To Send Invitations to a Meeting:

  1. Open the Salesperson/Purchaser Card window.

  2. Select the salesperson who organized the to-do, and click OK.

  3. On the Salesperson/Purchaser card, click Salesperson, To-dos.

  4. In the To-do List window, select the to-do that you want to send invitations for.

  5. Click To-do, Attendee Scheduling.

  6. If you want to re-send invitations to the attendees, click Functions, Send Invitations.

  7. A window will appear asking for your confirmation for resending invitations. Click Yes.

  8. Confirm the subsequent messages that ask permission for Navision to access Outlook.

  9. To send an invitation to the attendees that have not yet received it, select the check box in the Send Invitation field for these attendees.

  10. Click Functions, Send Invitations.

  11. A dialogue box appears. Select the appropriate option, and click OK.

  12. Confirm the subsequent messages that ask permission for Navision to access Outlook.


In order to send an invitation to attendees of the Contact type, the to-do must contain an attachment.

The Send Invitation option is not available for a meeting organizer.

An invitation can only be sent to the attendees who have an e-mail address. You can add or edit an attendee's e-mail address in the Salesperson/Purchaser Card or Contact Card window.

When an invitation is sent, a check mark for that attendee appears in the Invitation Sent field. A log is created in the Interaction Log Entries table for all attendees of the type Contact to whom invitations were sent.

Attachments are only available for invitations to be sent to the attendees of the type Contact .

The following customized text will be sent to the attendees of the Salesperson type:

Dear [Salesperson's Name],

You are hereby invited to attend the meeting which will take place on [date] at [time].

Yours sincerely,

[Meeting Organizer's Name]

[date sent] [time sent]

You cannot modify this text.
