Creating Contacts as Customers

As the business relationships you have with your contacts evolve, you may want to record them as customers.

Before you can create contacts as customers, you must specify a business relation code for customers in the Relationship Management Setup window, and you must specify a number series for customers in the Sales & Receivables Setup window.

To Create Contacts as Customers:

  1. Open the Contact Card window.

  2. Select the contact you want to create as a customer and click Functions, Create As, Customer.

  3. Confirm the subsequent message.

    The program automatically transfers the contact information from the contact card to the customer card, but you may want to add specific customer information such as invoicing and payment details to the customer card.
