Assigning Mailing Groups

You can use the Contact Mailing Group window to assign mailing groups to your contacts.

Before you can do this, you must set up mailing groups in the Mailing Groups window.

To Assign Mailing Groups to a Contact:

  1. Open the Contact Card window.

  2. Select the contact to which you want to assign a mailing group, and click Contact, Mailing Groups. The Contact Mailing Groups window appears.

    Alternatively, you can open the Contact Mailing Group window by following this procedure: on the contact card, on the Segmentation tab, click the AssistButton to the right of the No. of Mailing Groups field.

  3. Press F3 to enter a mailing group.

  4. In the Code field, click the AssistButton to see a list of the mailing groups in the Mailing Groups window.

  5. Select the mailing group you want to assign and click OK.

Repeat steps 3 to 5 to assign as many mailing groups as you want.

You can also assign mailing groups from the Contact List window, by following the same procedure.


The program automatically enters the number of mailing groups you have assigned to the contact in the No. of Mailing Groups field on the Segmentation tab of the contact card.

When you have assigned mailing groups to your contacts, you can use this information to select contacts for your segments.


You can assign mailing groups to several contacts simultaneously by applying mailing groups to segments.
