Makes a backup of your database.
To open this window, on the Tools menu, choose Backup.
A database backup can contain:
- The complete database, including all
companies in the database, data that is common to all companies,
and application objects.
- Data for all companies, including data that
is common to all companies, such as information about users,
permission sets, and permissions.
- Custom data.
The default file name extension for a Microsoft Dynamics NAV backup is .fbk.
You cannot restore a backup to Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 that was created by using an earlier version of Microsoft Dynamics NAV.
