Incompatible Business Entity

A business entity can become "incompatible" for various reasons. The general meaning is that the business entity (XMLport) in Navision is no longer the same as when it was used to design a scheme in Business Notification.

The three specific reasons for incompatibility are:

  1. The business entity exists in the same way as when the scheme was created, but the fields are no longer the same. This means that fields have been deleted from or renamed in the underlying XMLport in Navision. (Note that adding a field does not pose a problem.) The following alert appears: "Incompatible with business entity fields in Navision."

  2. The event that was used for the scheme has been deleted from or renamed in the business entity in Navision. The following alert appears: "Incompatible; selected event is not available in Navision.”

  3. The business entity itself has been deleted from or renamed in Navision. The following alert appears: "Incompatible; selected business entity is not available in Navision."

In any of these cases there is no way to correct the problem in Business Notification. The underlying problem in Navision must be solved.
