Some forms may have controls that you do not want to include on the transformed page. For example, the Sales Order form has an InfoPane form and a Post/City Code label on each of the three tabs. These controls are not transformed to the Sales Order page. They are excluded from transformation. The following illustration shows the Delete Page Elements window specifying four controls from form 42, Sales Order.

You can exclude certain controls from being transformed onto a page by creating additional input when you transform your forms.

Before you begin this procedure, you must do the following:

To exclude specific controls from transformation

  1. In the Transformation Forms window, select a form on which there are one or more controls that you want to exclude from transformation, click Input, and then click Delete Page Control.

  2. In the Delete Page Elements window, in the ControlID field, enter the ID of the control that you want to exclude from transformation.

    NoteNote

If you use the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Developers Toolkit with the TIF Editor, you can use the lookup function from the ControlID field in the Delete Page Elements window. You can find the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Developers Toolkit on PartnerSource.

  3. Close the Delete Page Elements window to save your changes.
