Many of the mapping rules that you will use to transform forms are defined in the transformation input .xml files. You can import the .xml files that contain the mapping rules into the Transformation Input File (TIF) Editor and then modify the mapping rules. The transformation input files are the following:
-
TransformPages.xml
-
IgnorePages.xml
-
MovePages.xml
-
DeleteElements.xml
-
MoveElements.xml
When you install the form transformation tool, you get the transformation input files for the standard application. If the forms in your application are based on the standard application forms, use the following procedures to import the transformation input .xml files for the standard application forms into the TIF Editor, and to view and modify the standard application transformation input specifications by using the TIF Editor.
If the forms in your application are Microsoft Certified Partner solution forms and if you have previously created your own transformation input files, you can also use the following procedures to import your own transformation input .xml files into the TIF Editor and to modify the rules in these files by using the TIF Editor.
Before you begin these procedures, you must do the following:
-
Install the TIF Editor. For more information, see How to: Install the Transformation Input File Editor.
-
If you are importing your own transformation input files and not the standard application input files, ensure that you have created the transformation input files. For more information, see Preparing Transformation Tool Input.
