Many of the mapping rules that you will use to transform forms are defined in the transformation input .xml files. You can import the .xml files that contain the mapping rules into the Transformation Input File (TIF) Editor and then modify the mapping rules. The transformation input files are the following:

When you install the form transformation tool, you get the transformation input files for the standard application. If the forms in your application are based on the standard application forms, use the following procedures to import the transformation input .xml files for the standard application forms into the TIF Editor, and to view and modify the standard application transformation input specifications by using the TIF Editor.

If the forms in your application are Microsoft Certified Partner solution forms and if you have previously created your own transformation input files, you can also use the following procedures to import your own transformation input .xml files into the TIF Editor and to modify the rules in these files by using the TIF Editor.

Before you begin these procedures, you must do the following:

To import transformation input files

  1. In Object Designer, click Form, select form 177000, Transformation Forms, and then click Run.

  2. In the Transformation Forms window, click Setup, and then click Transformation Setup Card.

  3. In the Transformation Setup window, under TIF path Import, specify the path where the transformation input files are located.

  4. Close the Transformation Setup window to save your changes.

  5. In the Transformation Forms window, click Setup, and then click Import All Transformation Input.

    To import the transformation input files one at a time, click Setup, click Import Transformation Input, and then select one of the transformation input files.
