Each page has a type. You must specify the page type before you can transform a form to a page. To simplify the task of specifying page types, forms have also been assigned types and a form type to page type mapping has been created. Therefore, to specify a page type, you can choose to first specify the form type. Then, if you import the form to page mappings, the page type will be specified automatically.

You can specify the page type by using the Transformation Input Files (TIF) Editor or by modifying the form transformation input .xml files directly. The following procedure describes how to specify the page type by using the TIF Editor. For more information about modifying the transformation input .xml files directly, see Understanding Form Transformation Input Files.

Before you begin this procedure, you must do the following:

To specify the page type

  1. In the Transformation Forms window, in the FormType column, click the lookup button.

  2. In the Form Types window, select the row with the form type for the selected form, and then click OK.

  3. (optional) To view the page type associated with the form type that you selected, in the Transformation Forms window, click the PageType field.
