Before you export transformation input specifications from the Transformation Input File (TIF) Editor, you can validate the input that you have specified in the TIF Editor. If validation finds any issues, you can fix them before you export the files.
Before you begin this procedure, you must do the following:
-
Install the TIF Editor. For detailed steps, see How to: Install the Transformation Input File Editor.
-
Add your forms to the TIF Editor, either by importing the transformation input files for the standard application forms, or by using the Get Forms command. For more information, see the following topics:
-
Import the list of form types, definitions, and their matching page types that you will use for lookup. For more information, see How to: Import Form to Page Mappings.
To validate the form transformation
-
In the Transformation Forms window, click Functions, and then click Validate.
-
In the Page Validation Entries window, review and resolve any errors or warnings before you export the transformation input files. The errors and warnings are the same that you would see in the form transformation log output file if you were to export the transformation input files from the TIF Editor and run the transformation tool. For more information about errors and warnings, see Reviewing the Form Transformation Log Output File.
