Data is usually entered in a table by using a form, but you can also enter it directly.

To add records to a table without using a form

  1. Open Object Designer and select the table to view.

  2. Click Design.

    The table data is displayed in a tabular format.

  3. Place the cursor in an empty line or press F3 to create an empty line.

  4. Enter data in the fields and then press ENTER.

  5. When you have finished entering data, close the table.


    You do not have to save the table. Records are automatically saved and updated when you leave a field after entering a value in it.
