Data items

This trigger is executed before a data item is processed, but after the associated variable is initialized and table views and filters are set.

You can use this trigger to add additional filtering beyond what is established by the DataItemLink Property or DataItemTableView Property. For example, use this trigger if you need to filter an indented data item based on the result of a calculation. Use the SETRANGE Function (Record) or SETFILTER Function (Record) function to add extra delimiters.

If you need to create totals for a variable (instead of a field), you can add a statement such as the following.

CurrReport.CREATETOTALS(Variable);

Adding this statement to the trigger maintains totals in the same way that field totals are maintained by using the TotalFields Property.
