Using Filters to Get Source Documents

You can use a filter function to retrieve the source document lines that correspond to the items you are receiving or to the shipments you want to prepare.

To use filters to get source documents:

  1. Fill in the header for the receipt or shipment.

  2. Click Functions, Use Filters To Get Src. Docs. The Filters to Get Source Docs. window appears.

  3. To set up a new filter, enter a descriptive code in the Code field, and click Modify: The source document filter card appears. The card is labeled Inbound if you are using the filter function to get receipt lines, or Outbound if you are preparing a shipment.

You can now define the type of source document lines that you want the program to retrieve by filling in the relevant filter fields on the filter card. When you have chosen the individual filters that will be part of the filter you are setting up, click Run.

The program retrieves all lines that fulfill the filter criteria from the released source documents and places them in the Warehouse Receipt or Warehouse Shipment window.

The program keeps the filter combination you used in the list of filters to get source documents. You can run it again at another time or modify it to fit new requirements. You can make an unlimited number of filter combinations.
