Changing Role Centers

Role Centers in the RoleTailored client provide access to the key tasks and information you need. Role Centers are associated with user profiles to provide only the information and activities that a profile is generally interested in. You can customize a Role Center to include or remove additional information and activities related to a profile. You can also change the default Role Center that opens when you open the RoleTailored client for Microsoft Dynamics NAV. Changes made to the default Role Center in either client are relected in both the Classic and the RoleTailored clients.

To change a Role Center:

  1. Onthe navigation pane, click Administration, click Application Setup, and then click RoleTailored Client.

  2. Click Profiles.

  3. On the Profile card, clear the Default Role Center check box.

  4. Click Profile, and then click List.

  5. On the Profile list, select the role that you want to set as the default Role Center, and then click OK.

  6. Select the Default Role Center check box.

  7. On the Profile Card, select the Default Role Center check box, and click OK.

  8. Close the Classic client, and open the RoleTailored client for Microsoft Dynamics NAV to view the new default Role Center.
