The Information Pane in Sales Documents

In the Information Pane to the right of a sales order, quote, or sales invoice, you can view shortcuts to relevant customer and item information. You cannot enter data in the Information Pane, but you can quickly gain access to relevant windows where you can retrieve information, select it and copy it directly to your sales order, quote, or invoice.

 

Customer Information

Customer information is divided into sell-to customer and bill-to customer information.

Ship-to Addresses

The number in parentheses refers to the number of alternative shipping addresses. The shortcut opens the Ship-to Address List window. In this window, you can select an alternative ship-to address and then copy it to the order, quote or invoice.

Contacts

This shortcut opens a list of alternative contacts for the customer. In this window, you can select an alternative contact and then copy it to the source document.

Sales History

This shortcut opens the Customer Sales History window, which provides you with quick access to all sales documents that exist for the customer. On the left of the window is a navigation pane containing different types of sales documents, both open and posted, and on the right are the lines associated with the selected document type. You can copy lines from this window to the current order, quote or invoice by selecting one or more lines and clicking Copy to Document. When the sell-to customer and bill-to customer are not the same, this shortcut appears for the bill-to customer as well.

Available Credit

The figure in parentheses refers to the amount of available credit for this customer. This shortcut opens the Available Credit window where you can see how the program calculates the available credit for the customer.

 

 

Item information

Item Card

This shortcut opens the item card for the item on the current order line. If the item number is not entered on the line, the shortcut opens the last opened item card. You can use this shortcut to look up items that are not associated with the current order.

Availability

The figure in parentheses refers to the available-to-promise quantity of the item. This is calculated using the inventory available on stock, scheduled receipts of inbound orders (for example, purchase orders) and the gross requirements (for example, sales orders) for the item. The shortcut opens the Item Availability window.

Substitutions

The figure in parentheses refers to the number of substitutions that are available for the item on the current line. The shortcut opens the Item Substitution Entries window where you can select a substitution to replace the item on the order line.

Sales Prices

This shortcut opens the Get Sales Price window where you can see an overview of the different sales price agreements that are specific for the customer and the item on the current order/order line. The figure in parentheses refers to the total number of sales price agreements that are associated  with the customer and the item on the current line. In the Get Sales Price window, you can select an alternative sales price and then copy it to the source document.

Sales Line Discounts

This shortcut opens the Get Sales Line Disc. window, which provides an overview of the different sales line discounts that are specific for the customer and the item on the current order/order line. The figure in parentheses refers to the number of lines discounts applicable to the customer and the item on the current line. In the Get Sales Line Disc. window, you can select an alternative line discount and then copy it to the source document.
