This window is used to insert jobs in the job queue. There is online Help for each of the fields in the window. You should be aware of the following when inserting jobs in the job queue using this form:
The Status field is set to On Hold by default when jobs are inserted from this window. This is because the entry is saved as soon as the primary key has been entered. At this point, the job queue dispatcher can see the job entry, and would normally try to run the job. It is possible, however, that the rest of the information needed has not yet entered, and the job would fail, or run with incomplete information.
Therefore, the window contains the following two functions that you can use to change the status manually:
• Reset Status – sets the status to Ready
• Set On Hold – sets the status to On Hold
