Insert Fault/Resol. Codes Relationships Batch Job

You use the Insert Fault/Resol. Codes Relationships batch job to insert relationships between fault codes, fault area codes, symptom codes and resolution codes, optionally based on service item groups. If you run this batch job, you have access to information on the most likely combinations of these codes.

The batch job searches through the Service Shipment Line table and creates entries in the Fault/Resol. Codes Rlship. table for all existing combinations of fault codes and resolution codes per service item group. It counts the occurrences of each combination.

You can determine what is shown in the batch job by filling in the fields on the Options tab. Fill in the fields as follows:

Options tab

From Date: Enter the earliest service order posting date that you want to include in the batch job.

To Date: Enter the last service order posting date that you want to include in the batch job.

Relation Based on Service Item Group: Click to insert a check mark here if you want the batch job to find fault/resolution codes relationships per service item group.

Retain Manually Inserted Rec.: Click to insert a check mark here if you want the batch job to delete existing system inserted records only before inserting new records. The batch job will retain records that you have inserted manually. If you do not place a check mark in this field, the batch job will delete all records in the table before inserting new entries.
