Releasing Production Orders by Status Change

You can release both a planned and a firm planned production order by changing its status.

To Release Production Orders by Status Change:

1. Open the Firm Planned Prod. Order window.

2. Select the production order to be released.

3. Click Functions, Change Status.

4. In the New Status field, select Released.

5. Fill in the other fields as follows:

   Posting Date	Enter the posting date to be used for any automatic posting.
   Update Unit Cost	Place a check mark in the field to update the unit cost of the produced item and any production orders or sales orders related to this item.

6. Click Yes. The production order is now released.
