The Inventory Period Entry Table
The closing item register number is the number of the last item register in a closed inventory period. When an inventory period is re-opened, the program does not record an item register number in this field.
The closing item register number might be useful in recreating the inventory valuation report after you have re-opened a period and posted additional item transactions.
