This table contains information about every date compression that has been done.
With date compression you can combine several old entries in one new one. You can choose the length of the period whose entries are combined; for example, you could combine all the entries for the 1994 fiscal year in one entry.
There are a number of batch jobs that create entries in the date compression registers, for example: Date Compress General Ledger, Date Compress Customer Ledger, Delete Check Ledger Entries, and Date Compress Insurance Ledger.
