Using Gen. Business and Product Posting Groups to Filter Information in Reports

You can use general business and general product posting groups in a filter, for example, to print a detailed report showing all G/L account transactions involving customers and vendors only in a certain business posting group.

To Use Gen. Business and Product Posting Groups to Filter Information in Reports:

  1. Open the relevant report request form.

  2. Browse to the first empty line in the window, and then click the AssistButton in the Field field.

  3. Click the Gen. Bus. Posting Group field, and then click OK to copy it to the field.

  4. In the Filter field, click the AssistButton and click the desired business posting group.

  5. Click Preview to see the report on the screen or click Print to print a paper report.

You can also use general business posting groups in connection with general product posting groups and/or posting groups for customers, vendors, items, resources, jobs or fixed assets to retrieve very specific information from the various application areas.
